Purpose of Use

How It Works

The latch pin consists of a cylindrical shaft made of stainless steel with a handle or head and a movable folding nose at the end, secured by an integrated spring. The nose features a slot for optimal length utilization.

1. Installation: Push the pin through the holes to be connected (e.g., in a clevis or bracket). Fold the nose over the edge to lock – the spring holds it securely in place. The holding force, depending on size, supports loads up to 600 kg.
2. Release: Press the nose back against the spring force to the starting position – the pin can now be withdrawn. The mechanism is self-locking and prevents unintended opening from vibrations.
3. Maintenance: Clean the pin from salt or dirt; check the spring for wear. It is fully reusable, requires no lubrication, and is standards-compliant (e.g., DIN-similar).
